Cabriole front legs and a sweeping back are characteristics of the Queen Anne chair. Of all the early 19th Century styles, I enjoy the simplicity and sweet curves of this period the most. A fair amount of carving goes into one of these. I made this chair during a North Bennet Street School workshop.
The wood is mahogany, ebonized with an aniline dye to give it a more contemporary feeling. The fabric was a lucky find.
